Financial/Fiscal Year

Hi, on the back of another thread I would like to use the similar formula =IF(MONTH(A4)>9,YEAR(A4)&"-"&RIGHT(YEAR(A4)+1,2),YEAR(A4)-1&"-"&RIGHT(YEAR(A4),2))

However my financial year runs slightly different, for example:

Q1 = 1/10/2013 - 31/12/2013
Q2 = 1/1/2014 - 31/3/2014
Q3 = 1/4/2014 - 30/6/2014
Q4 = 1/7/2014 - 30/9/2014

I have been trying to change the formula to match my financial year, but i am struggling - probably already in christmas holiday mode - but could someone please help?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
so for example, if i enter the dates in the left column, i would imagine the outcome to be 2014-2015 as that is the new financial year i am currently in. However it keeps coming out as 2013-2014...

That's just how our financial year runs within my company? Our financial year runs from October to September, so now we are in our financial year 2014.

I take it by your responses that you can't do this then?
