Hi

is there a way to filter a pivot from another sheet?

i have a graph / dashboard in one sheet and i want to enter 3 filter values in that sheet to filter a pivot in another tab.
rather than entering tab 2 adjust the values then going back to see the results.

i know there is a way just not that good with VBA yet

excel 2007

cheers
Dan

? I don't remember if 2007 has this option, but look for PivotChart in the charts area. I believe the behavior would be the same as what I see in 2013.
When you create a Pivot Chart in 2013, there are Filter selections included on the Chart itself. You can move the actual chart to new location afterwards.
If that is available, I think that would be the way to go, though you may have to rebuild your dashboard....
