Hey guys!

I have in Excel/ Power Query a regular date column (DD.MM.YYYY).
I would like to filter this column for year 2018 in total and 2019 to date.
So for today 01.01.2018-05.02.2019.

Is there any function for this?
How can I manage this?

best regards

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
In Power Query I would take the quick and easy approach of creating a new year column by extracting the year part of the date which is easy to do via the UI. Then filter by that column.

Ok, and how can I get the rows for 2018 + 2019 to today?
Just filtering the year is not appropriate

How can I filtering 2018 (total) AND 2019 (until today)?
I want 01.01.2018 - today.
Year to day + last year.

I dont want the dates in future.
Your approach would display alle dates for 2018 and 2019

Try this:
Table.SelectRows(#"ChangedType", each [date] >= #date(2018, 1, 1) and [date] <= Date.From(DateTime.LocalNow()))
