Hello Excel Monsters,

I was challenged with a task that I'm not sure how to approach. I will appreciate your ideas for solutions.

I have a big (non-power) Pivot with data on commission earned by employees.
There are about 70 employees.
Once expanded, each employee gets between 0 and 100 rows of data within the Pivot.

Now, once the data is updated, I need to:

EITHER (seemingly faster, but not sure if possible and reliable)
- filter the pivot by a single employee (is it possible to automate?)
- save the view to an excel (or PDF), without the data source (is it possible to automate?)
- attach it to an email specific for the employee and their manager (mail merge?)
- have the ability to review the email and its attachment and only manually click "send" post-review (mail merge?)

OR (slower and more manual but using familiar techniques)
- manually (but only once) create a separate file for each employee that will power query suck the data from the big file (is it possible to update them without opening each file?)
- mail merge send with attachment already separated

Which one would you choose and how would you approach it?
Options inbetween also welcome if you can come up with them.

Thanks a lot!

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
