What happens if you
• move it from the Filter section to the row section.
• sort it ascending
• move it back to the Filter section
If that doesn't work, if you right click on the field and to to Field settings, it the Number Format button available in the bottom left corner or missing.
If missing then your underlying data is most likely text and not a number OR you have blanks (missing date) in the date column.
@Cubist - its sorting by month and ignoring the year. Sample screen is a bit too limited but I would think it is sorting alpahabetically and not by actual month.
