filter function with wildcard

=FILTER(F1:R100000,J1:J100000="*CDR*")

doesnt seem to work

Try
Excel Formula:
=FILTER(F1:R100000,isnumber(search(J1:J100000="*CDR*")))

That does not change the fact that the formula doesn't work. Try testing stuff before you post.

Try...

=FILTER(F1:R100000,ISNUMBER(SEARCH("CDR",J1:J100000)))

Hope this helps!

=filter(f1:r:1000,regextest(f1:f1000,"CDR"))
