Hi All,

I'm trying to use conditional formatting in pivot tables and then filter by color for a set of data.

My conditional formatting is working fine but I'm not getting 'filter by color' option in filter.

Could someone please help ?

Thank you

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
To further the question.....
You can filter a table by color of the cell.
Why doesn't it follow that you can spin a pivot table off the same table and apply the same color filter in the pivot table?

As far a I am aware you cannot filter a pivot table based on a cell's colour. You can only filter on Labels or Values contained within the pivot table.

You can still use conditional formatting, but you would have to apply a filter within the pivot table for the value or label you require to be filtered.
