I would like to fill cells A3 to F3 with light red or green according to drop-down list selection. In the drop-down list F3 there are two options´Buy´ or ´Sell´, if ´Buy´ is selected then cells A3 To F3 will have a green fill, if ´Sell´ is selected then cells A3 to F3 will have with light red fill.

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
You need two rules

Select A3:F3

Rule 1
Pick the formula option and insert this formula
=$F3="Buy"
Format: Fiil --> Green

Rule 2
Pick the formula option and insert this formula
=$F3="Sell"
Format: Fiil --> Red

This seems to work. Adjust colors as desired...

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target = Range("F3") Then
    Select Case Target.Value
        Case "Buy"
            Range("A3:F3").Interior.Color = vbGreen
        Case "Sell"
            Range("A3:F3").Interior.Color = vbRed
    End Select
End If

End Sub

Right click on the worksheet tab, click "View Code", paste that into the white area on the right.
