Hello...new user here. I use Sequel Viewpoint to export data from an AS/400 based system to Excel. How do I get the export function to default the file type to .xls or .xlsx? The Sequel Viewpoint support team is no help as they say it should automatically default to either .xls or.xlsx. The Windows support team is no help. The default Excel Save settings are the same as other users. I'm the only person with this problem. Levono ThinkPad T4 Gen 4, Windows 10

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Your problem is very specific to Sequel Viewpoint. It would be helpful to put that in your title. I don't know if you can edit a title once you've posted a thread.

I have no knowledge of Sequel Viewpoint but there are some common-sense things to look at. When you do an export, if the default is not .xlsx then what kind of file are you getting?

Do you have the Excel add-in for Viewpoint?
