I have Microsoft Excel for Mac 2011, Version 14.1.2 on my computer.
The only reason I ever use Excel is to manage our family budget. I don't share this document with anyone/am not linked to any public network or server of any kind, and have never set permissions on the document.
But, every once in a while, when I go to open the document it says "This file is locked for editing." and lists me as the user who has locked it.
When I open it in read-only mode, I almost immediately get another pop-up that says "The file is available, do you want to edit it now?"
When I click edit, all it does is start the cycle of saying the file is locked for editing again.
Any suggestions as to why this is happening/how to stop it? So far, all that has worked is saving the file under a completely different name in a different place. But I apparently do something that triggers it once in a while, and I'd like to stop having to rename/resave/move this guy around.
Thanks for any help!
