I have a workbook that I'm copying to several different systems, with slightly different versions of Excel on them. The workbook has 2 worksheets and some VBA code. One of the worksheets has 2 hyperlinks on it, one to a Word Document (to enable viewing of an instructions document) and one to an e-mail address (to allow the User to send an e-mai, none of the content of the e-mail is set by the macro apart from the person it's to go to).
On every system I copy the workbook to, the hyperlink to the Word document is okay. But I get a problem with the e-mail address hyperlink on one system. On this system after starting Excel I get the message that asks me to Disable/Enable macros, and I always select Enable Macros, but I then get a pop-up message that says "File error: data may have been lost".
All the systems are using Excdel 2000, but of slightly different versions. The one that is failing is V9.0.3821 SR-1, and one that is working is V9.0.4402 SR-1.
Is this problem caused by the version of Excel or is there something else that might be causing this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
