File Attachment Field

Hi All, I am trying to add an attachment field to a form in Access 2013. However when I add the field to the required form I cannot attach a file, I click in the box and there is no paperclip icon etc. to attach file. I can do it in the datasheet view by double clicking the field in the backend database. Anybody have any ideas? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
