I have a pop up banner that appears below the ribbon every time I open a fairly complex workbook.
"FEEDBACK REQUESTED This workbook contains an interesting formula that would help our team keep Excel reliable. Please consider sharing it with us."

There are "Select Cell" and "Give Feedback" buttons, neither of which work. I can't close the banner with the "X" on the far right. The banner flickers and is extremely annoying. I tried unprotecting and unhiding all worksheets and that didn't help. Reboots haven't helped.

This appears to be related to using the BETA channel. It first appeared on my home computer (BETA channel) on May 3 (release date of current build), wasn't present on my work computer (CURRENT channel, may or may not be PREVIEW) the following day, and remains present on my home computer despite reboots and unhiding and unprotecting all worksheets. The banner is not present when I open other workbooks on my home computer. The BETA version is 2305 Build 16501.20000, release date MAY 02 2023 (I can't check the version on my work computer at the moment)

I would be happy to give feedback, but given the persistence of this banner, I'm considering changing from the BETA channel to CURRENT, since every function I currently need (including LAMBDA and various array formulas) is available in the CURRENT channel. While I like access to new functions and features, it isn't worth this annoyance.

I reported the problem using the feedback button under help but haven't heard back from MS. Any suggestions?

thanks

I have the exact same problem. The banner started popping up today and has failed to disappear after a reboot.
I am on the Beta Channel running Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2306 Build 16.0.16505.20000) 64-bit.

Also reported the bug. Hope it is solved soon.

I finally changed to CURRENT CHANNEL (PREVEIW) and that made the banner go away. It would probably take significant new features to make the change back to BETA worth the effort.
