Hi all,

I've been racking my brain for a few weeks with a spreadsheet I am working on for the world cup.
I am trying to create a lookup for a sheet which tracks statistics of players entered into a template sheet which I have created to record match results during the world cup. There will be 64 of these template sheets, 1 for each world cup match.

Everything currently works but I am using INDIRECT and SUMPRODUCTS functions (of which there are 100s of) which seem to really slow down the spreadsheet to the point it crashes regularly.

Does anyone know how I could make this spreadsheet less resource intensive?

I have linked the spreadsheet here. The main formula is all on the squads sheet and the templates are the M1, M2 etc sheets.
Most columns are hidden in order to keep the spreadsheet tidy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Any help on this would greatly be appreciated guys.
I believe I've finished the spreadsheet but would love to see if anyone had any ideas on how to make it less CPU/Memory intensive by removing some of the INDIRECT / SUMPRODUCTS functions
