I'm accustomed to using F4 to repeat last command. I just bought a new Lenovo, and F4 mutes the sound. Does anyone know the repeat command on Lenovo? Excel is Excel. IDK why they would be different. Thank you

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
A lot of laptops have a function lock key somewhere on them - you'll need to find yours. (this is a hardware question, not an Excel one ;))

I appreciate your quick response. My esc key has 'FNLock' right under it; I assume that's it. I pressed Fn key and esc at the same time and FnLock with a line thru it came up. I'm assuming I disabled Fn Lock; however, it didn't solve my problem. I guess I'll look for a Lenovo forum. Again, thank you for your help. At least I'm pointed in right direction!

Try Ctrl+Y
Thanks. I tried that. I got a pop up that said 'do you want to save,' as if my command was to close the file. Lenovo 'support' told me the same thing along with 4 other ideas that told me they're fishing. Thank for taking the time to respond. I'll see if Best Buy's Geek Squad can help. Thanks again

That's surprising I would have thought the Ctrl+Y would be just as universal as Ctrl+Z.

You actually want Fn Lock enabled.

It sounds to me like you might need to enable function keys in the BIOS

Thank you. I'm only superficially aware regarding hardware. My friend and personal expert hasn't solved it. I'll probably give Best Buy's Geek Squad a crack. Thanks again. I'm open to all ideas.
