Extremely Strange Occurance in Excel

I tried to do conditional formatting on my excel. I wanted to highlight cells in column A when cells in column F were greater than 50. WHen I did this most of the cells including those that were less than 50 were highlighted. How in the hell is that possible??? This makes no god**** sense at all. Take a look at the screen shot.

I cleared all formatting in all cells and this idiocy keeps popping up ad naseum. If someone could explain how to fix this excrement I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

i never use formatted tables, if you did you formatting to just the values in a test sheet would that generate the same global highlight
