Hi,

I am trying to extract text from a cell to reformat and remove some parts.

Jones, John (London) would want to be changed to John Jones

I have tried using the LEFT/RIGHT/MID and SEARCH formulas but i have not been able to tweak it to correctly show what i want.

Can you please help

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
How about
=TRIM(MID(SUBSTITUTE(A2,"(",REPT(" ",100)),SEARCH(",",A2)+2,100))&" "&LEFT(A2,SEARCH(",",A2)-1)
