Dear all,
I have a column in which i have a data in the following format:

Name%datetime

e.g:

John%2018/03/08 19:50
Davis%2018/03/08 19:58
Dawson%2018/03/08 20:05

Now i want to extract just names from these above strings and want to delete the %datetime. Please let me know how i can do this in a simple way. Is there any formula to do this ? Please help me...

Thanks

.. and want to delete the %datetime.
If you don't actually want that %... data you could just delete it from the original column as follows
a) Select the column by clicking its heading label.
b) Edit/Replace (or Ctrl+H)|Find what: %* | Replace with: Leave blank|Check in Options that 'Match entire cell contents' is NOT checked|Replace All
