I have the following text in cell A1 and I need a formula which extracts the it answers the number 17.31 in column B - I tried using =Left(A1,5) but it doesn't format into a number and I use this number for other related formulas - any suggestions?

Best Time Trk/Dist:17.31

Thanks in advance!!

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Perhaps try RIGHT() instead? With a double unary before it?
Excel Formula:
=--RIGHT(A1,5)
