I have this is cell A1

ABCDEF (123) GHIJKLM (XYZ)

I am trying to extract the XYZ from this string. I have already extracted the 123 string, now I want to extract the XYZ string.

Thanks in advance
James

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
How about
Excel Formula:
=SUBSTITUTE(TEXTAFTER(A1,"(",-1),")","")

Hello, see if this helps you. I've removed the "=" sign in the second row so you can see the formula.
This presumes that there are only 3 characters between the parens. If it's not always 3 characters, that will be a more complicated formula.

I think that you could do them both in the same formula:

=CHOOSECOLS(TEXTSPLIT(A1,{"(",")"}),2,4)
