Hi,

When you have a list of names with corresponding %'s such as below and you have double names, such as Tom and Joe, how to get the first % that belongs to the respective name?

Tom 0.5%
Joe 0.25%
Brad 0.25%
Bill 0.35%
Charlie 0.26%
Tom 0.6%
Joe 0.30%

Many thanks

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
A VLOOKUP will find the first one:

Code:
VOOKUP(A2,A2:B8,2,FALSE)

assuming your data is in A2:B8
