So i was conflicted whether i should post this question here but since there is not a "MrPowerpoint.com" and its related to excel Im giving it a shot.
I am aware Power points can be macro enabled. and from what I learned so far from Google research is Power point will not automatically update embedded externally linked excel objects but there is VBA code to do so.
I am hoping someone has experiance with trying to dynamically update linked excel objects and triggering the update links function during active slide show when it returns to slide 1.
ive dabbled in it so far but my results usually end up in resetting to original data even though the source has changed.
What the department wants to achieve is to have a monitor that is running a power point presentation on loop to display data and as we update source sheets hourly or bi-hourly so when management or other members on the floor see the data it will be relevent information with out dedicating a body to keep updating it.
