External Link Issues

I am using one spreadsheet (spreadsheet 1) as an order sheet. Once I have filled in all of the information, I 'Save As' with a unique title. I have another workbook (spreadsheet 2) that I use as a running log to keep track of all of the order sheets. Spreadsheet 2 has external links that reference the cells in Spreadsheet 1, so that I don't have to do double the typing. When I save Spreadsheet 1, the external links change to reference my new file name, but all my information is still in Spreadsheet 2 as needed. However, I can't seem to figure out how to copy and paste the formulas so that they continue to reference Spreadsheet 1 rather than my newly saved spreadsheet.
Any suggestions?

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Welcome to the board.

You could either:
1. Save/Close Spreadsheet 2, Then do SaveAs on Spreadsheet1
This will preserve the links in spreadsheet2 to linke to original spreadsheet1

2. After doing the SaveAs on spreadsheet1, and the links change in spreadsheet2,
In spreadsheet2, click Edit - Links - Change Source and link back to the original spreadsheet1
