Random #REF! Error
We use a large Excel file with over 1,000 external links located on one of the worksheets called the "Data Table". The external links point to other Excel files which are located on various servers. The Data Table external links work correctly most of the time. However, some cells will intermittenly return the #REF! error for no reason that we can detect.

For example, two cells next to each other will have vitrually the same external link, one will return the correct value and the other will have the #REF! error. If we open the source file, the #REF! error is fixed. However, employees who view the file need to be able to open it without having to fix it. This only happens when the source file is not open.

EXAMPLE:
='O:\2014\monthly\[Cdn DB 2014 IS.xlsx]Call Center Analysis'!AS42 Result: $1,000
='O:\2014\monthly\[Cdn DB 2014 IS.xlsx]Call Center Analysis'!AS43 Result: #REF! (The result should be $1,000)

Thanks for your help!
Craig
