Hi,
I'm exporting a table from Access to Excel and for some reason when excel is populated with my data it adds an ' before the number.

For example, in Access the number is 2. After exporting the value of 2 to Excel cell A1 contains '2.

How do I get rid of the ' ?

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
I think you can enter a 1 somewhere else on the sheet, copy it, select the range with the 'ticks,' then Paste Special with the Multiply option set.

You need to go in the table/query design mode and turn that particular field into "Number" format instead of "Text" before export the data to Excel. This will eliminate that sign.
