Hi All,

When a user exports from the erp system to excel the column containing data quantity data is exported as 'text' and she needs it to be 'number'.

Although I can manually select the column and change it to 'number' is there any way to have the export done automatically?

The issue however is on a user's PC whereas when I export its fine.

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
If the imported text values are always in the same column, you could add code that could multiply the values by 1 which would force it to change to numbers.

If the export format is consistent (columnwise), when that workbook is opened, the conversion code could be set to check if the conversion has already been done, and if not, convert and save the code.

If that user opens a new workbook/worksheet, what is the formatting applied to that column?
I am wondering if that user has modified the Book or Sheet templates.
