Hi All

I have tried exporting entire lists of data from excel into an existing table access with very little success. Is there a tried and true method of doing this. Every time I have tried, I have ended up importing data line by line

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
Hullo. Quick guess here: When you tried importing, you were using Copy/Paste? That works from Access TO Excel, but not the other way 'round. The simplest way, is to make sure that your Excel data is "clean" and from Access, Select File->Get External Data->Import, and follow the Wizard.

Thanks for the tip, I will have a crack at this and see how I go . . . . .

I'm sure that I have tried this method beofre, but have not cleansed the excel file prior to importing, I will do a edit>copy>paste_special>values to a new spreadsheet and try importing from here and see how I go.
