I have created a 100% stacked column graph, with labels on each segment of the column. While the column is roughly 3 inches across, the text label is centered and is limited to only about 1 inch before it wraps the text. I would like to expand the label field so that it can display across the column. Help!

It looks like this (I don't know how to paste a graph in here, so bear with me - imagine that these are bars from a bar chart  ):

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Sorry, I don't think you can resize a DataLabel object. It has Left and Top properties, but not Height or Width properties. If you manually select a DataLabel you can reposition it, but you can't change it's dimensions.

Good job with those bars!

If the number of bars is not likely to change often, consider the use of textboxes in the chart, with each textbox linked to a worksheet cell. The textboxes offer far greater formatting capability than data labels.

To create a textbox linked to a cell, simply select the chart, start with the equal key, then click with the mouse in the cell of interest, and finally press the ENTER key.

Unfortunately, the number of bars will change daily. My stacked bar graph has a bar section for each day of the month. So, a section gets added each day.

But, thanks for the advice!
