Here's the deal.
I sent a Hyperlink out a while ago to a excel document. I recently renamed that document, and don't want to resend a new Hyperlink out to everybody.
So, I thought that I could create a Shortcut to the renamed document, then rename the Shortcut to the old document. This doesn't work, any idea why OR even better, what I can do to make this work?
Orginal Hyperlink sent in email:
\\share1\JAN 2011 Additions to Report.doc
Renamed "JAN 2011 Additions to Report.doc" to "1-11 Additions to Report.doc"
Then created a Shortcut in the directory \\share1 that is named "JAN 2011 Additions to Report.doc" but links to "1-11 Additions to Report.doc".
I of course removed the part of the name that says Shortcut, the Shortcut name now is exactly the same as the old file.
Thanks as always!
