Did you follow the link provided and give it a try?

There are instructions and I believe a sample workbook for download.

BUT DO IT FOR ME!!!!

Seriously though, where I work we've got literally hundreds of offices and for some reason our network drives only have 1 gig of storage. I was able to get a functional UDF that tells me the size of a file if I provide a path name, which I got from CMD by doing DIR /a:-d /s /b > d:\files.txt, and then I was able to build a fun series of pivot charts to break down our usage by file type, department, etc.

I've been looking for a good way to get a path\file listing dynamically and in spite of all the info out there on it, I still haven't found one that works at work. I think the problem is I haven't had the right components enabled to make the FSO references work?

I'll see if I can find the answer this time around. :)

Hi.

you don´t have to use excel for it... there is much simple way..

open notepad and type in:

dir /s *.* >listofallmusic.txt

now save it as a bat file. eg. "list_of_all_music.bat"

now copy it to your music folder on double click on it - it will great a list of all your files witch are in that folder where you placed that bat file.

greated text file will show music size, length, names, etc, etc.

Regards!
