When I open excel it opens 5 worksheets: Book, Personal, Personal1, Persona, Job List. How can I stop it from doing that.

Excel Facts

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
.
I'm using Excel 2007. As far as I know, all versions of Excel use a "startup folder" from which Excel knows which file to open when it is started.

My system uses this path to get to the XLSTART folder : C:\Users\My\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART

Look in your XLSTART folder and see what workbooks are residing there.

There is also a setting in the Registry that can be edited to specify which file to open when Excel starts. You'll need to do
an internet search for instructions.

Thanks but there is no problem with my Xlstart file. I saw an answer to this problem on this group from back in 2005. They suggested to go into VBE, I did and saw the files but I don't know what to do after that.

What I see is

VBAProject (books.xlsb)
VBAproject (joblist.xlsb)
etc for the other 3 files.

I don't know code so you will have to walk me into what to do. I wanted to paste my snip it but it is not letting me.

Thanks,
Randa

To cut to the quick, you can post your workbook/s on DropBox.com or similar. Google has a cloud site ... Amazon has a cloud site, etc.

It will be a lot easier for you to post the workbook/s rather than instruct otherwise.

Once you have the workbook/s posted for download, provide a link in your next post.

Dropbox provides the link to your file. Obtain that link and post it here.
