What is the easiest way to calculate exchange rates in Excel? Is there a formula wherein the currency code can be entered and it returns the exchange rate into currency #2 for a given day? Seems like there should be a formula for that, but haven't found one. thanks!

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
This may be something that Power Query can do for you, but in order to even start, we will need to know which currencies you want to have rates for. Additionally, this will entail do a web Query and refreshing the query on a regular (daily, hourly, etc.?) basis. It is not something that is native to Excel.

Provided you have a table of currencies/rates/dates, a formula could return the rate for any currency and date in the table.

One way to build a table is to choose a web site that allows personalisation and download of a currency portfolio, then download to update the table as required.
