Excell Default opening

Hi Experts,
When ever i am opening a new excell sheet the work book are opening from left in arabic.I want the default should be in english may i know how to change the same ? I am working in excell 2007

If you mean that the column labels are shown as numbers instead of letters:

- click the Office button (top left)

- click Excel Options

- click Formulas

- untick R1C1 reference style

- click OK

Hi Expert,
Thanks for your reply.My problem is my default excell opening is in Arabic mode means the worksheet is opening in arabic (right to left ) i want to change this in english (left to right) please help.

Changing the language setting is not done within excel, there is a tool in the menu to control the language of all Microsoft Office applications, to find it

Start menu
All Programs
Microsoft Office
Microsoft Office Tools
Microsoft Office 2007 Language Settings

Select the required default language from the Primary Language dropdown in the lower section of the settings window, then follow the prompts to accept.
