I am trying to export data from Excel a single sheet to Access
I have installed the Access Links add-in in Excel then go Data->Convert to MS Access and save it as Test.mdb
When I go to open my test.mdb file Access opens to the point where the window with creat table using wizard etc. is and nothing else. However Test : Database is at the top.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
You have to create the table in Access using your Excel Spread sheet first.

From Access:

With "Table Tab selected" click NEW select Import then OK.

Then you can select your Excel spreadsheet from where it is save (make sure the "Files of type" is changed to Excel or you won't find your file.

Follow the steps in the wizard to import your table.

If you are going to do this repeatedly you can use a macro to automate it or Link the Excel file to Access. Be careful if you modify the Table field properties (after import is complete) as it may not import the next time.
