Excel .xlsx problem

Hi guys,

I have our system that generates a .xlsx file, which includes all the data we need in order to upload to another third party web portal.
The problem I am having is, when I upload the .xlsx file to the web portal, their system does not recognise the file.

In order for their portal to recognise the file, I have to open the .xlsx and just click the save button.
Once I try to re-upload it, then their system recognises it and it is successfully uploaded.

When I save, the file size increases slightly.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this issue and how to overcome it without having to open and save it every time?

Thank you

A sample file, that has not been opened and saved can be found here

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Don't know if it is related to your problem or will help in any way but the only difference that I can see between the original file and the 'saved' file is in the properties of the files. In the original, the field below is blank but (naturally) after opening and saving, my name appears there.

Thanks for your reply.

I will see if this fixes it and will post back the results.

Thanks again

There is also /package/services/metadata/core-properties/d4870bdadb3048f4bf5bafd26ba8fe5b.psmdcp in the problematic file, which is reflected in the internal relationship file /_rels\.rels
Once saved, this item is excluded from the file structure.
Rename Batch.xlsx to Batch.xlsx.zip and use any archivator to see the differense in the file structure
Not sure if this is critical for your system, but there is also standalone="yes" part in the .rels elements after saving:
Rich (BB code):
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>

Ok,

I have figured it out. We needed to use a Microsoft library in order to create the excel file through our software.

Thanks for your help.
