Can anybody please help me with a problem with Excel 97?

I have plotted a line chart where the X-axis data is not evenly spaced (i.e. it goes 100, 200, 350, 500, 750, etc). The problem is that Excel is plotting these figures evenly spaced on the X-axis which means that the graph is distorted.

Is there any way to get Excel to space the X-values in proportion to their magnitude (i.e. a bigger spacing between 200 and 350 than between 100 and 200)?

Thank you

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
If you want numerical spacing on the X-axis you MUST use the XY Scatter plot. Delete the chart you have now, redo it as XY Scatter, and pick one of the line options.
