Hi,

Just have a question here, we have a shared Excel file and open by anybody at same time, however i have some risk that other may change the file while open to me. Is it possible that excel file open for only 1 user, and for some user, pop up the window that is open on user(application user name). Thanks for the answer in Advance.

I have stated this many times to many people. Don't Use Excel's Sharing feature. It is potentially dangerous. The potential of losing data is very strong

Save the file as a standard workbook.

IMHO

Yeah, the file is Standard WorkBook, but i want the file open for only 1 person at a time to avoid saving of new workbook. or maybe read only but restriction on saving even when user close the file and need to reopen if it is need to update for checking that it is not open to anybody while open in 1 user.

You could close the workbook immediately if they open it as read only

Put this SUB in the "ThisWorkbook" module

Code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
   If ThisWorkbook.ReadOnly = True Then ThisWorkbook.Close savechanges:=False
End sub
