Is it difficult, or even possible, to convert an Excel workbook to a standalone application using Access?
 

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Sort by date Sort by votes
You can easily import the data from a workbook into Access. But you would have to create forms/queries etc
