Excel Window Freezes randomly?

Hello, I have Microsoft Excel 2016 Installed on my Dell PC on Windows 10. I have a few .xlsb spreadsheets that are quite large that I work on almost daily. Every day at random, the window will freeze, so when I hover my cursor over a corner of the window so I can resize it, normally, the minimize, full screen, and close toolbar buttons at the top right, will resize along with the window. However, the window seems to freeze, and I can resize the window, but when I click on or in a cell, the window stays frozen. I have attached a few screenshots. I have already disabled all add-ins in case that was the issue. I have tried Quick Repair and Online Repair from Control Panel, and have rebooted my pc countless times. Any advice?

A bit more information would probably be helpful.

Are these the only Excel files that you have issue with?

How large is "large"?
What is the size of the file?
How many sheets/rows/columns?

Does the file contain VBA code?
If so, is any of it event procedure VBA code?

Does the file contain any links or formulas that link to thinks outside of that particular workbook?

No, any excel file I open, this seems to happen after it’s been open a while. At least an hour or so.

The xlsb file is about 8mb

Around 25 sheets, most with thousands of rows and anywhere from 3-15 columns. Multiple pivot tables.

No VBA Code, the file does contain links & formulas to an outside workbook.

Are using 32 or 64 bits?
Mine was giving me issues with the 32 bit , all is well with the 64bits

No, any excel file I open, this seems to happen after it’s been open a while. At least an hour or so.

If it truly happens on all Excel files, regardless of the size, then that sounds to me like a system issue.
Could be problems with your PC, or your installation of Excel.
You could try re-installing Excel, and making sure all updates have been applied.
If that does not work, you may want to have an IT expert check out your system.

Investigate possible issues with add-ins​

While add-ins can enhance your experience, they can occasionally interfere, or conflict with Excel. Try starting Excel without add-ins to see if the problem goes away.

1. Start > All apps > Windows System > Run > type Excel /safe in the Run box, then click OK.
2. If the issue is resolved, click File > Options > Add-ins.
3. Select COM Add-ins, and click Go.
4. Clear all the check boxes in the list, and click OK.
5. Close and restart Excel.

This shall Help You Out as it worked for me.
