hello there, I have stumbled upon the following problem:

web query (current currency rate) -> data are put in decimals with period -> I can't use this data for further computing

how to change the data to numbers with comma? I want to keep the data fresh, so it automatically refresh from time to time, so just changing period to comma doesn't make the thing...

I would appreciate any ideas, the simplest ones would be the best ;)

are you bringing this in to your sheet or whats the process? where does it go? if you are bringing it into a cell you could (A1 for example) you could just use substitute.

=SUBSTITUTE(A1,".",",")

if you have vba code you can incorporate that into the code.

BarryL, you're right my explanation was incomplete. I'm bringing it into a cell and of course "substitute" solved everything. Simple and fast answer, thank you and have a good day!
