Hello All,

Just trying to find out a bit of history on the printed User's Guide that Microsoft once included with Excel.

John Walkenbach has a broad overview of the various Excel versions
http://www.j-walk.com/ss/history/index.htm

I recently picked up a copy of Excel Version 5 User's Guide for Excel and also the VBA User's Guide.

I am curious when Microsoft stopped producing/including these with Excel.

Thanking you all in advance
Dave T

Excel Facts

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
They also used to do a Spreadsheet Functions User Guide. The current function help does exactly the same job, and looks like pages from that book ( the help back then wasn't up to the same standard as the book, as far as I can remember ).

I was working for a big client from Feb 1993 onwards, and we didn't get any user guides passed on to us, even though they were included in Excel, so I have no idea when they stopped being included.
