Excel to Word Mail Merge

I am trying to merge data from an Excel cell to a Word text box. It will only bring over 255 characters from the Excel cell and place it in the Word text box. Is there anyway to increase the number of characters that it will merge from Excel to a Word text box?

I suspect the problem might be due to your mailmerge connection method - this is a known limitation of the ODBC connection method. See, for example, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/242072/en-us. Try using a DDE connection instead.
