Hi All,

This may seem a silly question, but I have created a table and Excel formats the data set nicely and adds filters etc, however in my Table Headers I have months, Jul-2013, Aug-2013 and so on. Now when I click and drag Aug-2013 to the right, hoping it will auto-fill with the value of Sep-2013, it doesn't, it makes the value Sep-2014. Is there any way to make it so that when I auto-fill to the right, it goes to the next month? I've looked for an answer to his but can't find what I'm looking for.

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
In the first header date put an actual date e.g. 1/1/2013
Format that row as Custom: mmm-yyyy
In the adjacent cell put this formula and drag right =EDATE(A1,1)
This adds one month to each date.
