Learn Excel From MrExcel, Podcast Episode 2139: Turning On The Filter Dropdowns.
Alright.
If you have a large data set and you want to apply a filter, CONTROL+SHIFT+L adds the filter dropdowns.
Now, this is beautiful here in Office 365 Excel 2016.
The active cell did not change at all, but even just as recently in Excel 2013, when you press CONTROL+SHIFT+L, it's going to select all the way out to the edge of the data like that, alright?
The active cell stayed exactly in the right spot but you get to see to the edge.
So, CONTROL+BACKSPACE -- talked about that a few episodes ago -- will bring you back; so, CONTROL+SHIFT+L, possibly followed by CONTROL+BACKSPACE.
Well, hey.
I want to thank you for stopping by.
We’ll see you next time for another netcast from MrExcel.
