Excel Sharing and Internet - What's out there?

I'd love to know what's out there now (and just around the corner) that can enable an Excel file to be accessed over the Internet and shared by multiple users.

I develop industry-specific complex analytical Excel apps for users who are, for the most part, not very technical. They have the prevailing mindset that 'Internet is better' for pretty much everything. While I love the Internet, it seems better suited for database applications rather than spreadsheet applications, and the 'multiple moving pieces' type apps I write are DEFINITELY better suited for spreadsheets.

Nonetheless - They want to be able to access these apps via the Internet (I get that) and share one master copy (I get that too) -- and Excel is awful for Sharing if you've got VBA code that needs to lock and unlock various worksheets to perform different operations -- which mine invariably do.

I've seen some applications that claim to replicate Excel functionality, but most seem to be spreadsheet-like front ends to databases or compilers, or single-sheet bound or otherwise unsuitable.

Anyone found anything great?

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
You can use Dropbox to sync workbooks between users, and it does support VBA. But it's cloud hosting, not so much a web-based interface.

HTH,

Dropbox looks very interesting! Like it will pretty much do what I want. I'll have to check it out in more detail - Thanks!
