Hello, I’m a System administrator of a company. My user has Excel problem. She opens a few of her excel files and switches to use other applications. Her excel then slowly started to disappear.

The following were what I did, but unfortunately none of them fixed the problem…

- giving her another brand new machine, which has all new hardware, OS, applications, and profiles (as this network uses local profile)
- creating new excel files and copying content of each page of old file into new files for the user and asking her to use new files instead
- cleaning the RAM chips and doing Scandisk on the HDD
- checking error messages from event viewer and Dr Watson logs, no related error was found
- increasing the size of Virtual memory from 750 mb to be 3 gb
- making sure that the virus definition is up to date and scanned the those files for viruses, no virus infected

I really have no more idea about how to fix this problem, your help will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Tom

Hi - Welcome to the board

Is your user pressing Alt + F4 to switch to another App insead of Alt + Tab ??

Seriously I have no idea. If you got a new PC and new software and new files then I would think it has to be user error.

Also are there any Addins installed?
