Question: Supposed that the above percentage (I got 49%) is a probability that a county has it's unemployment rate higher than the average unemployment rate. You visit 5 other counties in the region, what is the probability that at least 3 counties has a high unemployment rate?

I can't show the whole thing but do my of you guys know which formula or something I can use to solve this? Appreciate any answers!!!

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
I don't do other people's assignments in this forum. And we don't know what has and has not been covered in your lessons; in particular, what "tools" you are permitted or expected to use.

For the simplest formula, consider the BINOM.DIST function. Note that the probability of 3 or more events is 1 minus the probability of 2 or less events. Hint: consider the difference between cumulative and non-cumulative probabilities.

Alternatively, note that the probability of exactly k events in n results is p^k * q^(n-k), where p is the probability of the event, and q is 1-p. But you also need to consider the number of ways of ordering k of n results. Hint: See the COMBIN function.

As a double-check, enumerate the probabilities all of the possible combinations of 5 results with 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 events. How many are there? Hint: See the FACT function.

(Too many? Maybe just check for 2 and 3 events of 5 results, as a proof of concept.)

That's as far as I should take that. In fact, I might have given you too much.

Brain fart! Misdirection. Sorry. There are only 32 combinations to consider. Hint: Why? (I shouldn't say.)

Good Afternoon,

I want to convert the working document below into a calendar view. The calendar is full year. For example: Everything on this calendar that has a date of 2/14/21 regardless of the calendar, I want it show as a monthly calendar. End Goal - I could print out the month of February with all tasks for all dates in February that would be easier to read. I would like for it to show in the following format and will color code based on task. I would want to be able to print the calendar out by month as well.

There are other thing on the calendar that would fall on this date as well, so this is just an example.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

Everything on this calendar that has a date of 2/14/21 regardless of the task (Task is represented by column header), I want it show as a monthly calendar.

Correction to sentence in request.
