Hello,
I have a "source" Excel file with multiple columns to track jobs and of who took the projects. I have created queries to create a sheet in the workbook based on each person involved. For example, if the originator listed on the main page is "Joe" then there is a query page where Joe can find all jobs that are his responsibility. I love that Excel automatically transfers all information for each of the 25 people involved to their own page.
Question: Is it possible for Joe to enter data on his page that will fill backward to the source? The source file has "Completion Date" but only populates if Joe goes to the source and enters it there. I am hoping that if Joe inserts the "Completion Date" on his page, that refreshing can work backward to the source. I have multiple criteria that I will need to format if this is doable, but in my research I have not found a solution. Do you have any ideas?
If the answer is to throw out the query, don't be afraid to say it. I have these folks asking for their "perfect world" sheet and am trying to appease them and management.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
