I apologise if this topic has been covered previously, I did a quick search and found nothing. I found a link on another forum that said a list of third party software was listed here. But the thread is locked unfortunately.

I have a problem with excel security, I have a colleague who is using the standard excel protection to hide certain tabs and to lock certain columns, Because there is information stored there that he does not want altered. The problem is when he sends this sheet off to another office (China) they are cracking the security and altering the spreadsheet. Which does not help my colleague at all.

My question: Does anyone know of any third party software that has the function to lock individual cells, Columns, Hide tabs and is not easily cracked?

I have been going round in circles on google looking at various products but have not found anything.

I would really appreciate any feedback, Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
JayC83,

Maybe try a different approach. Put the data that is protected in another Excel file and link it using formulas to the file that is sent to another office.
