Get a Percentage of Total in Excel. Let's do a percentage of total in Excel.
First, let's put the total in. So I choose the total cell.
Hit the AutoSum and accept that. Come up to the top.
What we're going to do equal sign point to the very first person's sales.
Slash for divide.
And then come down here and click on the total cell Right now, it's B18.
We have to press F4.
On some computers, that's Function+F4 Or if you can't do it, just type $B$18.
To make sure that that part of the formula always points at the Grand Total. Format that as a percentage.
I like to put one decimal place. Double Click to copy it down.
Now we can see that Andy got twelve and half percent, one-eighth of the total.
